Rep Power: 0 Yes, it is only used for turbos I am almost positive. I think that it releases the pressure from the turbo when you shift so it doesn't rev the heck out of it when it's not in gear.

Rep Power: 0 yes it is only used on a blow off valce and no it isn't so it doesn't rev, its to help preserve the turbo. it releases the preasure created by the turboine. you don't want the preasure to push back into the turbo otherwise it'll slow the turbine down. you souldn't be concerned with blow off valves unless you have a turbo. and i think there are only a couple 7th gen civics with turbos.

Rep Power: 0 the blow off valve release pressures put on the piping and the actual turbine and without it it might have enough presure to backspin the turbine cracking your turbo or it might just denate your motor and with a better blow off valve the quiker the air is release the faster the spool up and superchargers can use it but in order to use it you musy have some pressure in piping superchargr doesnt require it some does anything thats has enough psi will need it but it wont work on any Naturaly aspirated
