Gee I don';t know if I can take much more panty wetness, but I suppose I could try. Even the way the car was I had to put a box of Pampers glove box.

By not aging well, do you mean the won't hold up, or that I might tire of them soon?

Around here people don't vandalize cars, they just steal the whole thing and take it across the state lines. The GA/TN/AL area is known for that, and the insuance rates reflect it. Maybe some discerning thief may take the car and leave the headlight covers behind.

get em painted white dude, that'd look a lot better in my opinion, but black also doesn't look too bad.

Thanks. I'll have to look for the thinner one. The tape I got has the red release strip. Are you speaking of the green one? I think there is one for "light mounting application". Maybe that will work.

Look back one page.

Bartkat: I kinda like them and I kinda don't. They look good, but projectors would look better.

I'm kinda ambivalent about them myself. I don't think I want projectors since I understand they don't light up the road as well. What do you know about that?

I think the projectors made by TYC will light up the road better than your covered stock headlights. That's because it's not cutting off the beam. The cover does do that though. I'm not sure about the other projectors? They're sort of like the TYC's, except they also cover some of the beam like the covers. Anyway, TYC's are what everyone is so worked up about lately, so if you're having doubts get those. I'm either going to get the TYC's with H.I.D. like Maraux, or wait for something else to come out. BTW, get the black TYC's and then paint those your car coler. That's what I'm going to do. I also noticed that the brushed aluminum colored ones don't have a reflector for the bulb above the turn signal bulb like the black ones do. What gives?

If I go to the trouble to put in projectors, I definitely want to go with HID.

Thanks BAK. That NMB primer, paint, and clearcoat worked really well. I went ahead and got two 16 oz cans of the Tafetta white while I was ordering. UPS puts a ORMD hazardous surcharge on shipping that stuff, same as they do ammunition. Geesh.

if youre worried about being able to see at night, you might be disappointed with those covers. they are definitely going to cut down your light output, might end up worse than projectors

I don't see any light cut off when I shine the lights on the garage door. However I am still not happy with the fit. I think some shaving on the inside of the lip with a Dremel tool may be in order. Need to get those suckers down more flush. They just don't quite make it around the outside edges of the headlights.

Why would projector headlights produce less light? Wouldn't that negate the purpose of calling them "projectors"? If this is true, then why not refer to them as "deflectors". . .LOL(not funny in the least, contrary to the spinning face). Seriously though, if I buy projectors, how much am I looking at to upgrade them to HID?

I bought a pair of these, and wish i hadn't! I thought "headlight covers" covered your headlights, you know for daytime driving and such on long trips so your real headlights don't get f-cked up, well not these ones. what's with the holes in them? doesn't that defeat the purpose of protecting your headlights? I'm sending these puppies back.
