Rep Power: 0 HEADLIGHT COVERS, OPINION
I just got these headlight covers from Autodynamic. I am debating as to whether to leave them black or paint them to match the car body color. Took these pics with the covers just stuck on with masking tape. Looks like the install will be with 3M sticky tape so it won't be easy to get them off once they have been put on.
What do you thinK?

Rep Power: 0 Bartkat: I don't like the covers. I like the look of the black though. I have a question about your grill. Are you leaving it black, because I think that looks great. I was thinking of going black grill and black projectors on my Civic. Here's my question: What is the finish like that comes on the grill? Is it flat, matte or gloss? How does it look up close and personal not being painted? Are you planning to paint yours? Overall, looking good, but I'm not digging the covers vs. real projectors. Did you check out the group buy deal? Thanks

Rep Power: 0 i don't really like them, but that's from a "noob" so it probably doesn't mean anything. i'll try to find a pic of the projectors i got for my car.

Rep Power: 0 Personally, I would paint them to match the car, but if you are going for contrast, I say just leave them black. Either way, they will look pretty sweet.

Rep Power: 0 << Bartkat: What brand is that grill and where did you purchase it from? Also, give me a little info on moving the emblem over to it. Thanks! >>
The grill doesn't have a brand name. I got mine at autodynamic. It cost $74.95 plus shipping.
AUTODYNAMIC ALTEZZA STYLE GRILL
But I thiink this same grill is procartparts sells for $44.95 plus shipping.
PROCARPARTS GRILL
To put on the "H" emblem, I just snapped off the pins off the back of the "H" on the original grill to make it flat on the back. Then I put 3M moulding tape all over the back of the "H" and cleaned the grill with alcohol. Then stuck the "H" emblem on the grill after warming the tape a little with a hair dryer.
That grill has been in the rain, cold weather, and several touchless car washes and is still stuck on fine. I think this is as good as the way they stick the "Civic" emblems on the backs of the cars.
You can get the 3M tape at Advance Auto Parts, or most any parts or accsserory store for $5 to $8 depending on the size of the roll you buy.

Rep Power: 0 Guys thanks for the opinions.
Especially thanks for the pics of the painted covers.
Does anyone know the name of the place that sells color match paint in spray cans? I can't remember the name, but I think they mix the paint to your OEM color code and you can order online.
Thanks.

Rep Power: 0 Thanks for the paint link.
Yep, I can at least drive awhile and make up my mind while I wait for the paint to be delivered. Can always use a little touch up paint.

Rep Power: 0 I won a Procarparts auction for Fog lights. I called them and gave the auction number and credit card info and they shipped them right out. UPS took a roundabout way to deliver, but that was UPS normal.

Rep Power: 0 Ok got em painted and stuck on with tape. But the tape is too thick. Need some kind of cement to make a better fit.
