Question About Hood Pins for CF Hoods?!

Im gettin a CF hood shortly and am going to purchase hood pins. Is there a huge difference between the latch ones, and the ones that u need a key for in terms of strength (keeping the hood down)? What should i look for when buying hood pins or is it all the same? anything i should stay away from?thanks for the help

i have the ones with the key and the VIS hood i have is too thick to install them properly into. I had to get pins for it due to the skeleton being to think; it just depends on the hood. if you can use the key type, ill sell em to you super cheap since i have no use for them, they are the NRG carbon lockers.

hmm.. those are the ones im interested in actually... but i am getting a VIS hood also.. so im assuming they wont be good for it either... unless different VIS hoods are different thicknesses.

^depends on style.... some spots are thicker then the same spots on a differently designed hood.

Transformer_Guy is on a distinguished road
Im using the Sparco hood pins and they hold the hood down real well. I just didnt want to use a key to unlock it everytime, i tend to lose keys

some parts of the hood are closer to the frame than others too.

yeah it depends on the style. the skeleton on the invader extreme hood that i have is pretty thick. there isnt a real spot to mount hood pins at all. just see what the underside of the hood looks like when you get it i guess.

I have the Sparco Hood Pins too and I think they look better than the key ones and they hold my hood down just fine.
