This is the second set of H3 super plasma PIAA bulbs in 3 months. The Passenger side bulb burnt out. This is the second time. There is a brown stain on the bulb like moisture or something like that but no leaks?! The bulbs are warranted but this is getting to be a pain in the @ss. NO, I didn't touch the glass either time, I'm sure. WTF

Rep Power: 0 The confined space in the projector versus the open space of the normal light assembly is the problem. You'll never get a set to work for very long if they're higher wattage. My advice: HIDs. Works beautifully, and for over 6 months now on the same bulbs.

Rep Power: 0 i think hes talkin abut the HID system..which around here you can get for about $650. But good luck gettin the bulb to fit right, and not melt the housing. There is a special way that you can set it up, but its kind of tricky from what i hear to get it to work on our projector setup. This is because the HID bulb is much longer than the regular H3.

Rep Power: 0 My projector bulb blew out as well, it had the black stains on it after I took it out. I found out that my passenger side projectors had moisture in it and I have recently re-sealed it after I dried it out and it hasnt given me any trouble since then. I also put hyper white H1 for hi-beam and H3 for lows.

Rep Power: 0 << did u think that maybe its not the projectors, but yet the BULBS INSTEAD! the projector beam has NOTHING to do with blowing bulbs.... >>
Are you kidding? How could 4 different sets of 4 different bulbs of super whites blow out in my projectors and not in my factory headlights? There is a plug that converts the h4 into a H3 so maybe something is wrong with the wireing or it just most likely gets too hot in the projector housing and just blows

Rep Power: 0 I'm using PIAA xtreme white H3's in my projectrs with no problems, (this better not jinx me by posting this) Anyways Mine only use 55w but put out 110w of light, I am happy with them. I gotta get the xtreme white h1's for my high beam and then i'll be all set.

Rep Power: 0 To fix the problem people are having with their bulbs blowing, you HAVE to use only 55 watt draw bulbs. The reason for this is because when you use xenon type bulbs they already have a shorter life than halogen bulbs, therefore the higher wattage you use for xenon type bulbs, the shorter the life and don't forget that projector lights tend to draw more wattage from any bulbs you put in.

Yeah, there is a wire with a plug at the end coming out of the back of the projector which plugs into the other plug that is suposed to connect the the end of a H4 bulb.
