definitely don't use one like that. The car needs to be loaded on the ground for it to read accurately AND the ground must be perfectly level, and the magnet won't stick to aluminum wheels obviously. Look up the Pole Position FastTrax gauge. Ones like that work better than the magnet ones because they grab the wheel lip and can be corrected for uneven ground.

Well it could be used with the car on the ground but it would require some sort of adater to be able to attach it to the hub. I've seen these adapter YEARS ago but i seriously doubt they are manufactured anymore. My guess is you would need to fab up one some how. In todays shop that is used as a guage to check the camber before you make a suspension change . Then use it to return the suspension to the same camber AFTER the change and works VERY well for this. But prolly not the best solution for setting your alignment.
