Installed Konis yesterday

All i can say is that even at the softest setting, they kill the stock shocks (mind you my stock shocks were all blown just from my Eibach pro-kit (1"drop, but much higher spring rate). Anyway, they ride very nice. Question for suspension gurus tho... how stiff should I set them? I have stiffened up the rear 180 degrees to stop bounciness, and the fronts a little more, but I don't want to go too stiff so I mess up my suspension or bend something on a pothole. What's the best setting for our car to cut back on dive and roll, yet give a comfortable ride? Particularly people with konis should respond. Thanks.

keep the back a little tighter than the front, sounds like you have it set pretty good, dont worry about bending anything, crank them 360 and cruise with them stiff sometimes, it feels cool, like a racecar

This has nothing to do with what you asked.....

If i get the pro-kit, I'll most likely blow all my struts????

whether you blow your shocks depends on many things...the agressivness in the way you drive being one....any weak points in the shock being another...I know a couple people who have yet to blow theirs and have a 2" drop. All a matter of luck.
But eventually you'll need to upgrade.

I kept my konis set on whatever came outta the box. I imediately felt a drop in roll, dive croutching and bounciness as is. Im gonna play with the settings when warmer temperatures comes around.

they really ride very nice, I'm no longer afraid of going on any bumper or curves...
but the bad thing is the guy who installed it told me that I can't adjust the rear without taking it out. he said there's a piece of metal blocking the way in twisting the cap. can anyone tell me if it's true?

How long did you run the stock shocks and struts with the pro kit before the shocks blew? I have the pro kit ordered but want to wait for the Tokico shocks.

I have GCs, my struts are blown, and i'm waiting on my Koni's...will i damage anything if i'm hitting bumps and potholes too much/hard? I'm starting to feel more roll in my right turns than in my left????? i had eibach coil overs---front shocks were gone. Definetly an investment in Koni's...or any new shocks for that matter!

I've had my Konis for a few weeks now, and I've had plenty of time to "play" with the damping to get it to feel how I want it too. Right now I have both the front and rears a little more then 180, my front is a little stiffer than the rear, cause I've got a couple hundred pounds of audio stuff in the trunk. With my GC's set as low as they are, I've got about 1.5" of travel on the front Koni's before the bumpstops. And what's nice about that, is cause I don't bottom out.

About the blockage in the back-- I have been able to adjust them with pliers... Yes, it sucks that the "key" does not fit in because of that piece of metal, but needle nose pliers work fine.

I just took some pliers and bent the metal out of the way. Then the ***** fit fine.
