The LX has two oxygen sensors: One before the cat, and another one after the cat. I've seen it myself when I installed Rocket Z headers on my LX. One guy on this site used and EX/SI header on his LX and had to do a few modifications to the header (that sucks!) had to weld another nut for the second oxygen sensor. People at honda said you can't put headers on the LX because of the header/catalyst design(BULLSH IT!!)They claim the engine light will go on and be less efficient on milage/gas. If there is a header for the LX with 2 oxygen sensors and a high flow cat built in with a 4-2-1 or 4-1 design, thats when I'll buy one.
But I'm sure theres another way around this.

JDQuilCivic:: Where did you get your info that there is only 1 Oxy sensor on the EX's?? There are two sensors on all models(well not sure about the GX). The Primary O2 sensor on the EX is just not located on the Exh manifold/ header. It is located on the A-pipe. And, the secondary is located on the exit end of the Cat. (Just to remind you I am a Honda tech, and I also have my own personal service manual right here infront of me). If you really want proof that there is two O2 sensors on the EX gimme you emai and Ill send you a pic directly out of the manual.

If you guys are unhappy with your Headers...HP's website claims a one year warranty.....so use it if you feel you've been mislead or have a falty product........I hear you guys complaining about installation procedures....but overall, do you guys still think the money was well spent?..Peace!
01CivicEX,
Need your feedback. Know you owned the HP header and had intalled with some modifications when HP Racing claimed it is a bolted on part. So, did you contact them and complain about the header fitment, if so, what did they tell you. Please response, because we have a group buy going on on the HP header for a good deal, need you feedback so we all can make good decision on this deal. How is your ride now? Any loud noise or engine vibration, and is there any crach on the chrome header due to excess of heat, and etc....??????? Thanks!!!

Isn't OBDII OnBoard Diagnostics? I believe that OBDII is a newer system (around 95) of monitoring the various sensors in the car. My Check Engine light came one when I had my 95 Accord V6 and I needed a scanner for an OBDII system the read the codes. I had two shops tell me that they couldn't read it because the Accord didn't come out with OBDII until 96. Then I found out that the V6 model had OBDII even though it was a '95. The error code was the TDC(top dead center) sensor. So from what I know OBDII is the diagnostics system and has little to do with the O2 sensor except that it lets you know when something it wrong with them.
I think the dc header is worth it. I would just wait till spring or early summer and im sure that there will be another company out with a header for are car or maybee dc will make a full header. I just wouldnt jump on the first header that comes out thats a full one. like how good of a brand is HP? I wouldnt put there stuff on my ride.

Sorry it has taken so long to get back, but here is the deal. The header bolts in without mods on automatic tranny equipped cars. Manuals will have to grind some material off the front cushion mount. The header is a pain in the but to get in, BUT, the one you are taking out is a two peice, and this is a one peice. With a little patience it will go in.( I added a few choice words when installing mine, seemed to help). Once installed, the motor will seem rough because it takes some time for where the donut gasket is to loosen a little, so the header can flex, thats why they use a donut there, some manufactors use a flex pipe. Anyway, my engine light recently came on because of the free flow cat, but rumour has it that HP will offer a chip to remedy this, and possibly *** more horsepower. Another problem I have is the stock donut wears out to fast because I beleive it is too small, I will be contacting HP on this problem. Otherwise, the header adds noticable horsepower, and I also added the mid-pipe from HP, part # MS-2001, and an axle back exhaust from HP, and have really upped the power, the car just screams, sounds like formula 1. I would reccomend this header and free flow cat, but to someone with patience. For $685, this is possibly the lowest priced free flowingest header to muffler system.
I have it, i love the power gains but i also have to say it was a bitch to put in. but its in and i also found something that will fake the o2's so you wont get the check engine light on. Also for you that have leaks its not in the donut its in the header it self. Look where the 4 meet. there are 2 welds that should not be fully welded. and that is where you are getting your leaks.
