I called honda, they caint help me. Where do I find these?
I'm assuming there like the Clymers manuals right?
Where does everyone get theres?
Im assuming autozone or V.I.P won't have them, there mostly domestic suppliers.

just wondering, how helpful is the OEM service manual for the 7thgen? like do you have to have absolute mechanic knowledge or can a weekend DIYer comprehend it?

i was thinking about investing in one before i touch the car...

thanks

the manaul isnt hard to understand, but some things in it arent desribed very well. some of the way they tell you to remove things or install it is easily done other ways. they make things more difficult then it is. I purhcased it awhile back, but only have used it maybe once or twice. I mainly use it to help out other members on here. the car hasnt had any problems were I have had the need to use it.

You dont necessarily need the OEM manaul though. Go to autozone and buy the haynes manaul for $20 compared to the $70-$80 for the OEM.

can you do complex stuff with a manual though? like replace a clutch or block, etc.

^^^^ yup... everything you need to know about your car is in the O.E.M. manual, from specs, to paint codes, to general service, the o.e.m. manual has it all....

just to give you an idea, the OEM manaul is about 3-4 inches thick filled with info. Anything you need to replace on your civic will be covered in the manaul. It even gets into detail on how to tear apart items and rebuild them. But again some things are explained really odd and are done easier ways.
