i bought the honda shift boot and installed a razo at sport shifter. you have to take apart the centre console and take off the old bezel then install the boot. looks really good and its pretty easy, but it takes a while. i change the ebrake too.....looks really good.
For an automatic, my shifter looks pretty cool. It's the same as yours except it's wrapped in leather and surrounded by chrome. It's the minor difference that makes it look more classy than a stock Civic shifter.
I don't really like the idea of a "fake manual", but I heard about somebody doing a really cool auto shifter. He installed a third pedal (where the clutch normally goes) and shifter without a button/release. How does he shift? Push down on the shift-pedal then shift. Use the pedal like you would use the auto shift release button. Now, that's pretty cool.
