SRS Light Help!

I had installed the DC Sports Short Shift Adapter a while ago and to make it easier to get to the center console I took out the passenger seat. Seemed like a good idea at the time, right? Well, I made sure to detach the battery first, then I detached the plugs underneath. After installing the adapter, I put everything back the way it was, reconected the battery, turned on the car, and now....my SRS light has been lit up for over a month. The only thing the few mechanics I've talked to have been able to do is tell me to go to Honda. Any suggestions other than that? Also, I double checked the plugs for any possible damage and nothing seemed out of place. Any help would be awesomely appreciated.

same thing happened to me. I took out my seat to clean my carpet when a friend dropped 4 Dunkin Dounut drinks in my car. I have no idea how to get it off there either, so I asked Honda to look at it when they rebuilt my tranny. They said it was going to take some time to look over all the codes and more BS...they said it was gonna cost me like 85 bucks. That was just to look at it not including any repairs that may be made.

Ah ha...

I did some snooping and found this http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=155251. I went to the website he listed and bought the little tool. Yeah, its $3.51 but it ended up being $10 after shipping. - . -;; However, they also have the service manual used by Honda dealerships. It costs as much as an hour of service at Honda but like it says at the website, if it saves me a trip to the dealer, it's already paid for itself, so I think I'll be buying that soon. I'll post again once I get the tool and say whether or not I actually can reset my SRS light.
