Removing Center Console on 05 civic Sedan. Please Help!!!
Hey Guys,
I just got a new Civic LX '05. I also got the acura RSX shift **** but it didn't come with any instructions. I read through this forum and found that in order to get the boot to stay plush against the adapter I have to remove the silver plastic collar that's on the original shifter, but in order to do that I have to take off the center console to get to the underside of the shift boot to cut off the plastic tie that attaches the collar to the boot. Is there anyone here that can help me with a DIY on how to take off the center console? Or if there's an easier way, Other than getting that adapter because I want to take off the stupid silver collar on the boot, let me know.
I'd appreciate the help, people.

scroll down to aluminum shift ****. you might have better luck just trying to pull off the part in the instructions instead of the whole center console...too bad for me i took out the whole center console because i couldn't get the small part to come up by itself...

Nah, I didn't have any problems really. I just didn't know you could ull off the part around the shift boot. I was just afraid I'd break the thing. But I put a little elbow grease into it and I pulled and the thing just popped off... now the shift **** looks sick. I'll take some pics of it when I get a chance.
Peace!
Peace!
