header question
header question
i have a 2001 civic ex coupe 5spd. i am going to buy a shorty header for it or whatever u call it. will it fit on the stock downpipe. i think the outlet for the header is 2.25". do i need to get one with spot to put the o2 sensor also. heres a link to one i would get. Ebay header or this one ebay header 2 if both of these r good, which one is better to buy

i dought the stock downpipe will fit. if i were you I would go ahead and order meganracing down pipe and the header the sametime. Just to be on the safe side. And also I dont think those cheap no brander ebay header will give you any power. Just lettin you know that it is a waste of money.
hp racing also makes a full race header for EX models.
its the top portion header connected with a downpipe as well. thats your best bet if you have an 01+ ex model. rumors has it that you have to shave off part of your motor mount or tranny mount for the manual owners.
as for bolting on a aftermarket header with factory downpipe, yes it is possible. i had no expierence with installing headers, but i did have a hard time bolting on my megan downpipe/test pipe with my OEM EX header. im auto btw

I Have Dc Sports Header And It Was Straight Forward On The Install, Took The Stock One Off And Put The Dc One On No Cutting Welding Or Anything Might Be Because Its A Dc And I Have A 02 Ex Auto
