Coolant for the radiator? There's this stuff called Water Wetter that makes your coolant work a little better. I reccoment that. Antifreeze with lower temperatures and higher thermal conductivity is good as well. I noticed my engine temp drop when I switched to my Tsunami front bumper. It exposed more of the radiator to the air. That's another thing to consider.

Coolant is not all the same. This is especially true over some period of model years. I don't know why you would need coolant in a 2K1 Civic, but it is best to use what the manufacturer recommends, always.

stick with what honda recomends for cooling. honda makes some good ish for cooling. also grab a bottle of "red line water wetter" (it is a additive for ur coolent). it supposbily lowers your temp up to 30degrees F. its some good stuff. take a look at it.

Do NOT use Prestone Coolant, it contains Silicate which is an abrasive material put into coolant to keep water passages free of rust and corosion in cast iron engine blocks. Your Honda engine is all aluminum, if you use Prestone it WILL reduce the life of your Water Pump. Use Honda coolant or Sierra Coolant they are both manufactured specificaly for aluminum engines.
