Cyclone Fuel Saver
Lately I've been seeing a lot of infomercials for ths little piece of simple metal. I couldn't find the actual product I saw in the infomercial, but this looked like the same thing. They claim ridiculous gain in fuel economy and as much as 20hp gain.

a mechanic i know put one in his car just to see if it did anything.. he said he got a better fuel mix.. which in turn gave him better mpg.. but not an amazing amount or anything.. like 1-2 extra miles... ..
so if you wanna get an extra 50 cents out of every tank of gas.. i say go for it..

OMG!! Those things are a pos!!! PLease dont buy!!! I work at pepboys and this guy wanted it in his car and the pos didnt even fit and its costs like $60!!!! Looks like was made outta of a soda can...........
They are of no value in terms of mileage, IMO but let's ponder this for a minute.
The TV ad shows it being used on what looks like a GM truck or some other GM product if I recall correctly. This week in the news Honda showed it had the best overall corporate mileage and GM the worst. A manufacturer needs to meet the CAFE mileage requirement otherwise it faces federal government fines so there is an economic issue for all vehicle manufacturers.
The problem is that little tiny ecoboxes help them meet it but the SUVs and pickups is where they make a huge profit. Therein lies the problem.
If GM could increase their fleet mileage through the Tornado they'd be crazy not to use this little widget. I'm sure they could buy these things at a steep discount so it would be rather inexpensive to up the mileage.
Pick any other manufacturer such as Dodge, Ford or fill in the blank and it becomes painfully obvious to me that the Tornado is in intriging infomercial but isn't the whizbang-do-it-all some would like to be.
