Blacking out headlights?

Im sorry if there is a DIY for this already but i couldnt find it. I was just wondering how you black out the headlights and tails. Sorry again if its out there already. Oh and also if its illegal.

why would it be illegal to black out ur headlights? most stock cars come with blacked out headlghts.i think i will only be ilegal if u take out the orange inserts. but in ny we dunt get stopped for that.

to black out the headlights...take them apart and paint the chrome you want to be black. Some use primer first, some wet sand the chrome piece they are going to paint, and some just paint over the chrome. Make sure you use a high heat paint. The majority seem to like the flat black color.

You can probably ask "cocky" how to smoke tails cuz he just posted pics of his.

I used flat black paint on mine, gloss looks horrible. Be sure to use something that clearly says its heat resistant. Last thing ya want is the paint running because of the heat
