On a stock or lightly modded car, there is no problem. Iridium is actually better, because it requires less system voltage to generate the same spark. I've run regular plugs with my ported cylinder head and they started to foul in one day. I've been running iridium now with no problems for at least a year.

Now for turbo, everyone strongly recommends AGAINST using iridium. Regular copper is preferred.

u don't need to use the wires since 7thgencivic use a different system....it's that all-in-one coil tube..

anyway, iridium WONT mess up your car......except for turbo...maybe..

id say stick with copper no matter what the situation.

"it's that all-in-one coil tube.."
newer hondas use coil on plug ignition systems.

That's not always true. My car can't run properly on regular plugs, so I need the iridiums. I think they have a higher temp range.

Nothing is wrong. I'm just running higher compression, and Iridium won't get fouled as easily. The OEM plugs are supposed to be better than copper, since both electrodes are platinum coated. With iridium, the ground electrode is still nickel.

And I would use iridium simply because it uses ALOT less system voltage to make the same spark as copper plugs.

no, im using the stock plugs still since i have no reason to change them out. but when it does come time to replace them ill use copper.

higher compression, lower compression, no reason copper wouldnt work just as good. you probably had problems with the copper plugs since they were the wrong heat range

Yeah I think the copper ones I tried were a colder heat range, even though it's the stock part number. Someone said they're one step colder, and I think that's why they started to foul out.

Iridium is the only upgrade from stock. They need less voltage to run, and that's about the only difference.
