Make your own grille?

I was wondering if i could get some fine mesh from like home depot or something and bend it to form my stock front upper grill, then zip tie it down, think it'll work (I'd go see sohcscreamer)

this is CUE2k1's old custom grill:

He took off the stock grill and shaped a mesh grill in place of it (with rolled edges - it doesn't look cheap)

it's sort of like the grillcraft upper grill, except it doesn't stick out (line up with the surface of the bumper) as much
grillcraft grill on Dizzymofo's car:

Most of the mesh grille pieces I've seen at the hardware store aren't wide enough to fit in the lower grill spaces of our cars.

MasterSadon is an unknown quantity at this point
i got some from home depot it was 6.74 for like a long piece its all precut i found it in the lumber section. but it sorta looks thin i can barely see it. i might have bought the wrong kind :/ gonna try to install it tomorrow plus clear the headlights and install some fiaam horns. i usually thought that having a lower grill was ugly but after seen the pic of CUE2k1's grills i like it i think ill cover both grills
