Exhaust melting my rear kit
Exhaust melting my rear kit
I have an Wings West kit and just installed my Magnaflow muffler(not the cat back setup)...now its melting my kit.....does any have the same problem and what did you do to resolve your issue....
Same problem myself, except i have the magnaflow catback. Just went back to muffler shop and they heated the bars that hold the muffler and dropped the muffler. No problems since.

You could probably get adjustable hangers or something. My exhaust was hanging too low, so I bought some new rubber things to hold it up higher.
dude, dont cut anything!!!!.....this sounds ghetto and funny but i had the same prb get 4 heavy dutty zip ties for each ahnger and then zip tie the bar up to the exhaust mount.......looks funny from down below but it is chaper and easier to do.....the exhaust should clear just enough not to burn.
Yes, it's an Acura EL

OR you could take your stock rubber hangers, stick a tiny piece of 1/2" plastic or pvc tube in the "H" cutout part, thus stretching it. Gives you an extra 1/2. Secure with Zip ties. Happy days.

Dudes, I had the muffler shop lower the hanger about 1"...added HVAC heat tape to the underside of my kit and BAM.....it worked......HVAC heat tape is found at your local Home Depot
