Hi,

My friend replaced the Ignition Solutions Plasma Direct over our oem coils. He then adjusted the map setting with the Unichip piggy bag ecu to accomodate the new coils and was able to get 4 hp more from the plasma direct, this was done over a dyno. The plasma direct alone, plug and play without altering the map setting on the Unichip ecu put on 3 ponies alone on dyno. The thing that I like about the plasma direct is not so much on the horsepower but on the torque created, torque went up noticebly and it can be felt when we step on the gas, acceleration and response time were faster. The plasma direct was put on my friend's auto 1.7 es sedan. Hope this helps. I'm waiting for my plasma direct at the moment, its being shipped from the US. I only have Unichip ecu upgrades at the moment on my sedan.

You can get the plasma direct coil at www.ignitionsolutions.com We got them here for about US$400, not cheap but considering the hp gained and easiness of installation compared to resonator, full catback exhaust, its much cheaper. Most exhaust that I see are all over $500. Secondly, you get noticeble low end torque power gain without having to put cotton buds in your ears when the vtec kicks in. Unichip piggy bag, I'm not too sure if its available in the US or not, try searching unichip.

Someone here had them and then they started breaking. I don't think they're good quality imo. And for the $500+ you pay for a few hp, just get an intake instead.

How long did they use it ? What do you mean when they break, do they crack or what ? Do you know how long does our oem direct coil last ? Just for info purpose. Thanks
