Problem installing body kit.
Well it is kit install time, and I am pre fitting all my parts before I send out for paint. My type b front lip will not fit all the way around the front without being forced to almost breaking. And the dimpled holes where you drill in my Xenon side skirts and rear, barely line up without being forced. Am I going to have to jack up my car to put the side skirts on? I have a 2002 LX sedan. Please help, this goes out for paint on Monday.

If it doesn't fit, there's nothing you can do. Jacking up the car won't help. Maybe a body shop will be able to modify the parts so they fit on better.
i know for the type b front the fitment is really really tight. For me there was one side that had a sharp angle and the end (where it goes inside the wheel well), and the other side was a little less. What i did was put on the side with the sharp angle, and then had a friend help and stretch it to MAKE it fit. Its hard, but once its on it will stay without any screws and will not sag at all. Good luck
Yes, it's an Acura EL

One thiing I leared with my body kit stuff is that it's best to leave the car with them so they can fit AND paint. Also allows them to paint match, especially if your car is a year or so old - paint fades and if you just go by the paint code on the door, the new painted parts won't match up to the old.
My front lip, when painted (car was a year old at this time), didn't line up so the body shop guy mixed in a tiny bit of blue.

my side didnt fit either, so I had to sand down inside of the side skirt to make it fit. it's kinda paper thin now which might break easily.but that might be only choice you can take if you are going to handle it. and you might need to re drill holes for screws
i got xenon side skirts and i put them on myself. I jacked the car up. Took the tires off. The i put the red automotive 3m tape on it, then added some water resistant epoxy ontop of that. Then i just slide it on. For fittin tho, you would have to first take it and try to fit it, if the holes dont line up on the sides, no big whoop, didn't for me, i just took a drill and a thin drill and drill through where i needed the hole and then screwed the screw through the rest of the way and it works fine. If its not long enough, then maybe u should lower it down on the car. Make sure its on the bottom part of the side, not higher or it wontfit.

Well everything is fine now, I'm just waiting for the kit to come back from painting. Does anyone know if autozone rents the larger car jacks that jack up either the entire front end or the entire rear? How did everyone else jack up their cars to put on their side skirts?
