Angry shift **** problems

I need suggestions on how to take off my stock shift ****... been trying to loosen the **** it for an hour - #@*%#! just won't come off. I'd gratly appreciate any advice you could give

UUMMM....

To take the **** off, you put your hand on the silver piece and pull at an angle. There are two clips holding the silver piece to the ****. A little pulling, wiggling, and tugging is nedded for the first time to take it off. Hope that helps.

Stupid question, but 5 spd right?

the boot + the silver ring is off now... But I still need more of your help on this one.... I could'nt find the screws to the ****.. do i just twist it off?
