Custom Exhaust Work, Question.

Ok, so I got my local shop to install my new magnaflow street series oval exhaust. They installed new 2.25" piping from the resonator back. The guy then reccomended that I switch the piping from the catback to the resonator to 2.25" also? Is this a wise choice? And what should I do, as I am looking for the most power. Also then i was talking to my cousins husband and he reccomended also that i get a high flow cat? Now what should i do? Should I do both? Thanks Alot in advance

if you want u can do them all.

if the price is fair. since u're looking for the most power..

keep in perspective that the most power you'll probably get is 1-5 hp (or none) at the most.. even with a highflow cat.. the stock cat isn't as restrictive as i think it was... getting an aftermarket cat has more to do with getting a larger size one in.

thats a nice looking muffler though.

me, I'll be content with the muffler on.. its for looks and sound, i can't see myself getting too much power from a full exhaust swap with the stock engine (or even with just intake and header)

should I just get the piping increased to 2.25 and keep the stock cat? Then all my piping will be 2.25? what do you all think?

screw the resonator....thats a pretty queit canister you got there....so scratch the resonator. I dont have a resonator, ive got flowmaster exhaust with 2.25" piping and an ebay (megan) header.....It sounds deep and not TOO loud. I just ordered a downpipe with a highflow cat(pipe whatever) and im sure it'll be too loud...owell

But i hope i helped answer your question

Hey if you have the money....get the magnaflow 53000 series highflow cat....this will still pass emmissions plus you will get the most out of your exhaust beacuse it will flow much better. All you will need is a header.
