To Everyone With A Xenon Body Kit!!!
Well since my last thread got locked about people way over arguing about the dual exhaust stuff, I am posting another one. I have two questions for you guys.
1. My Xenon sides and rear came in the mail yesterday and it looks like installation won't be too bad. There are these brackets that mount under the car for the side skirts which I am kind of weary over. Is there anything I am in risk of puncturing (fuel lines etc.) by drilling up under the side skirts? Also how was the installation for those of you that have done Xenon sides and rear?
2. Also because the Xenon rear has dual cutouts, it would really look odd to have anything but dual exhausts. I have heard that there are some dangers and loss of performance when running dual exhausts (I want to keep the little performance that I already have). So I think running a dummy on the left side would be the best way to go. The shop I went to quoted me $75 to hook up my cat-back, and hook up the dummy. Think its a decent price?
Please no flaming in this thread or arguments about rice. I am just looking for some helpful information/opinions (which can be negative as long as the thread doesn't get stuck on that one negative post).
Thanks
Jamie

1. Side skirts sag really bad so I wold recommend having some brackets but I just used some caulk and sealent and sealed them to my car and they dont budge a bit. As for drillig, I wouldn'tdo that.
2. It doesn't need to be a dual exhaust even tho it has the dual exhaust cut out. My kit now is a full rear bumper with a single exhaust and it looks fine with just one. Dont put a dumby one on the other side, it will look even worse. Just go with one on the one side and u'll be fine.

i got a xenon full kit. go ahead and drill the brackets they wont hit anything. use double side tape to hold them on.
make sure u have clearance between muffler and kit or else u will melt the area above the muffler.
about the dual exhaust.. the left side of the bumper will need tobe cut. the bumper is not symmetrical. ur gonna have to cut a half circle out of it to be able to fit a round muffler there
i took my kit off for the winter and its gettin resprayed.
Good choice in gettin Urethane.
NOW ITS TIME FOR THE FLAMMING!!!!
JK muahhhahaha muahahahahha
good luck wiht the kit yo

Hey Man
I have the full Kit as well.
1. I had no trouble at all installing them, but be sure to use the brackets that came with it because like slicksivik said they will sag. I drilled mine and there was no problem in doing so.
2. As for the dual mufflers, I am just running the single as the passengers side has a small cut out for the muffler that the drivers side does not, so if you were to do it you would have to modify the bumper or lengthen the hangers otherwise one muffler would be higher than the other and it wouldnt look good at all. And if you were to go with dual, I would try and make it true as it just looks bad when there is only gasses comming from one side, and the other has nothing. But thats just me.
Outside of that I love my kit and have had not trouble with it at all.
Good Luck

thanks for the info so far. Where exactly do those brackets drill into? I'm asking because I haven't had the chance to look at my car because its covered in about 2 feet of snow, and the reason its covered is because I've been stuck inside the house the past for days with the flu. Ahhhh, good ole New England weather.
Since I took off my Xenon kit I can take a pic of where my brackets are that help holding the sideskirts up. A body kit place installed them so they obviously know where they should of went. So if you need a pic just PM me or something.
yea thats the beauty of urethane, you can kick it and wont break. the reason y i took mine off is so that ice on the roads and ice bombs from cars wont mess the paint up. plus the paint is already chipped so im gonna respray it so when spring rolls around everything will be kosher

well I'm in new hampshire. The winters here are RIDICULOUS I don't really know what its like where you guys are though. Could you tell me what your kits have held up against?
my front bumper has tons of chips in it. the sides had a couple of gashes and it looks like the bottom half was sand blasted. the rear bumper is still perfect no scratches or anything.
does anyone know what i could do so it wont chip easily?? should i have many many coats of clear put on?

dont try installing them w/o brackets. it will droop eventually. go ahead and drill them in u will be fine. or if u prefer take the car to the shop and have someone drill it for u. id take pics of my brackets but my friend is borrowing my digi cam.
