Exhaust question ! (yes, exhaust)
Exhaust question ! (yes, exhaust)
Okay I know people (including myself) have asked what is the best exhaust etc. Here is something new though...what exhaust sounds the *closest* to a stock BMW 3 series exhaust? Does one exist? Everyone has their own definition of "loud" (I have seen people call the a'pexi n1 "fairly quiet") This isn't really based on opinion. So anyone know?

Apexi-n1 quite is a no.
The closest you will get would be the RSR. Forgot what the link was, but I think Boilermaker put it on his car, and there's sound clips some where on the forums. Just do the search for the rsr, that's the quitiest, exhaust, but still sounds tuned.

Our cars are nothing close to a BMW, so you're not gonna get that sound. The sound you hear from a 3 series would mostly be coming from the engine. I have the HKS Hiper, very quiet. Can't hear it from inside the car, but outside its just perfect and not too loud. You can't really get a German sound from a Japanese car...
the 330ci makes a nice deep tone. i know because my dad owns one and i work for bmw. they are not loud at all, it is just like a drone in the background you hear as you accelerate. however, i have never heard a honda sound anything like a 330ci, and i do not find it very possible.
