Need help with HID conversion kit for TYC projector headlights

I read on a post some where earlier today that if you put hid conversion kits in our cars projector headlights that you have to do some modification, is this true. I want to get a HID kit for my TYC projectors, I think they are H1, will it just be plug and play.

OsOBooSTeD is an unknown quantity at this point
it depends... if its h1's and u have h1's probally not... i my self had to do alittle modding.. because i had h4's (stockheadlights) and i got them from a 2002 maxima(hids) all i had to do was rebend the metal clip that holds them in there... minor modifiction is usually required tho.. but each kit is different.

I herd you do have to make some modifications. I herd that the H1 hid bulb is longer or bigger than the stock h1's. I remember reading you have to cut something out of the projectors in order for it to fit. Do a search for "hid projectors" and read through the threads. I remember reading up on someone who installed one in their tyc, and the headlights had to be slightly modified. Also, if you are using tyc projectors, im pretty sure they're h1.
