Rep Power: 0 VAFC 2 or Hondata?
I have a little dilemma that you guys can help me out with. I am trying to decide between the VAFC 2 and Hondata but I don't know what the advantages and the disadvantages are between the both. Will you help me out. Sooner or later I am planning on going turbo, for my car but I think it might be a while maybe in January. Hondata changes redline to 7700 and I think the VAFC 2 changes redline as well as the vtec engagement. Please help, what else is there that I need to know?

Rep Power: 0 I don't believe Hondata has an application for our cars, please correct me if i'm wrong. Where did you get this info from? The hodata would be much better, as it would be capable of much more, you can add a module for a turbo, also & the tuning possible is much more flexible than what a VAFC 2 could do.
I currently have someone looking into adapting a D16 Hondata ECU for my D17, but it's gonna be a while. I was also incorrectly given this information earlier..

I think he has an Si.....I would go with the VAFC2 personally, you can change the settings as you mod your car and you can also use it with a turbo application for a better result.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah I have a 2003 si. The hondata works on my car but I can't use it if I want to go turbo, and eventually that is where I will be headed. Do you know what the VAFC 2 does, everything?

Rep Power: 379 yea, aem does have a ecu, that we can tune, and it controlls everthing, that is for a super race engine, since it cost 1000.
i would get the vafc 2 because you can later tune it for boost application

Rep Power: 299 If you spend over a thousand dollars for a stand alone ecu you probably have a "super race engine" or at least you can afford to build one.
