i think the problem with that system is that it cuts the bulbs life in half cause ur putting so much power into it.
just invest into the real hids.
i know for sure im not going back to stock.

But, im just wondering, does thing thing really work? I mean does it really give off a hid look with more light? I really dont wanna have to spend 400-500$ on just lighting. I just wanted to know if this product really works.
doesnt it come with its own converter though or something? So, i dont think the wiring should get messed up? Maybe just the bulb might go out, thats about it i think. I just wanna hear from anyone who has it, seen it, or knows someone who uses it. I am for sure not buying 500$ hid kit, so i think this is the closest thing i can get to HID. For a 100$ it seems like its worth it, but i dunno, i just wanna hear some reviews if anyone has any.

Heh - here is their website:http://www.rstype.com
It looks rather funny, pretty ricey! All this appears to be is a DC to DC converter, which bumps the voltage on the bulbs higher than 12 V (14.5 VDC according to their site). It will work, but will burn bulbs out faster (unless they are rated for the new voltage.
Now the fun part. Imagine the light housings trying to work with the increased heat - imagine the melting point of plastic, see where I'm going yet? You MIGHT (key word might) do damage to the lenses. I don't think much else beyond that.....But of course, I'm sure this isn't DOT approved either (which means a fix it ticket if they make you raise your hood).
get the real HID. The excess heat WILL burn the lense. I had a similar thing in my stock headlights and the reflecting cone over the bulb turned yellow due to the heat. I hat to replace the headlights and went with MTEC bulbs with 55W as indicated. Once you increase the wattage, you increase the risk. And no matter how high you go with the wattage, they will never look like HID do to the beam pattern. You'll be lighting everything, not just the road like HIDs do, and probably get a ticket.
