Update on VAFC II
Talked to APEXi today about the VAFCII, it will be released in the new black covering and it has not been tested with the 7thgen D17 block, it will however enter R&D next month to see if it will function wth our cars.
Okay so I have done a few searches and read a lot of the posts, but I am still a little unsure of how the VAFCII works and more specifically what it does. Could I get a little bit of help?

Ohmysac --they R&Ded product but mainly on the other Hondas and not on the D17, since our VTEC is different from last gens and different from the Kseries they didnt really worry about R&D with our block as much since we are the low end of the spectrum as far as performace.

lol they told me the d17 was being tested on the VAFC like a year ago when i was still waiting for them to fix it for our cars (engine light probs), just ended up taking things into my own hands and fixed it. Never trust the apexi guys when they say the 7thgencivic is in R&D cause they got other things in mind like the RSX.
I know, sad but true.

That really sucks that they didnt work on it for our engine. Although, im sure they were aware that the gains would be minimal and thus most people would not purchase it for the D series.

I have no idea why though you are getting the light to come on that soon.

He said he had an Canadian Si which is the U.S. EX. That means NO I-VTEC, he has the same VTEC as a EX.

The light coming on @ around 2200-3000RPM is normal for our engines....It all depends on how fast/hard you press the accelerator. There are many threads about the vtec indicator light, try searching for them for more detailed info on this subject..
so then why would we want a V-AFC/II why not go with the S-AFC/II
I was told it was a much better unit?
anyone know if this was wrong or right info?
(looking for info from engine/electronics experts)
