I know everyone believes that all mufflers on ebay are bad choices but because I dont want to spend a ton of money on the tanabe or any other top brand, I am thinking about buying the Megan N1 style muffler. This one in particular is my choice because people on this site have said very good things about it. Does anyone have any objections or thoughts on this particular muffler before I buy it???? SOmebody who has it could help me out with this and tell me if its any good.... thanks

Well I personally have never heard of it but.. how much is it? I dunno i didn't spend much on mine i only paid 135 for mine i got the magneflow 4" tip n it sounds good to me not the whiney sounding but more of a deeper tone. they have stuff there u can hear what they sound like on their website

yea, i have the magnaflow catback and it sounds good if u are looking for something mellow. its never really loud at all, just a deep solid tone. the only thing i dont like is that below 1.5k rpm it sounds kinda washed out, but past that it good. (how long are u below that rpm anyway) idle sounds great, just a soft deep purr. overall im very happy with it. the magnaflow website claims a 9hp and 7lb ft of torque gain, but i sure as hell cant feel it.

I have one I actualy bought on ebay just as somthing to hold me over on straight pipe till I could get somthing better. I bought it from xoxo parts on ebay. I had a good clean sound with the resinator but it was kind on the quiet side. it sounded mean but subtle. After the resinator removal it got raw loud and aggresive. I love it its a great option for the lack of money. There is a heat issue though, it gets rather hot and on my 01 it has melted plenty of bumper . I am getting rid of it soon to replace with a full catback and a cat so I can pass inspec and hold a cleaner look for the new motor.
