bucket seats
hey,
I wondering if the seating on a bucket seat is lower than the stock 03 EX seats.
I can barely sit in my car with my helmet on for racing. The top of the helmet grazes the ceiling.
How much lower is it? What brand you recommend? I'm thinking sparco, but bride if i can find some? Which model you u recommend for autocrossing and road racing?
thanks

i'd go with recaros or bride... do you want true bucket seats where it doesn't recline or do you want ones that do... all raceing seats are lower than stock so you should be fine... which type depends on your budget... remember you pay for what you get....

you mean you get what you pay for?
see, im looking for a show seat, tenzo's will do just fine. but if i was serious about Auto-x, or road racing, (i wouldnt have a civic) i would definetly get some of the more pricey seats.

dude tenzo's for one thing aren't show seats... sparco barely makes the list as show quality seats... if you want show then you need to go with recaros or bide... thanks for the correction on my bad typing...

what are you talking about?
sparcos are some of the highest quality seats made.
so are recaros and brides. (brides are ugly as sin though)
as for your 'list' its severly out of order.

I would get Corbeau. They are awsome quality. Dont get me wrong. I love my Tenzo's, but they don't come close to Corbeau.
I sure wish my car was newer

I wish I could afford Brides... but a grand for each seat is way more than I can spend right now. The Recaro SRDs are pushing it at at 500 each. After you hit the $400-$500 mark, you're paying a lot more for just a little bit more quality. Are the Brides better than the Recaro SRDs? Yes. Are they worth twice the money? That's a matter of opinion.
