Ground wire is ground wire, the only thing you need to worry about is the gauge of the wire. Any 4 gauge will work.

don't need a franchise one, any one will do. honestly i'm just gonna use 8ga because i have some extra lying around. i recommend wrapping the wires with loom for some extra protection, though.

Just go to any car audio place, power wire or ground wire, its the same. I used 4 gauge monster wire to ground my block to chassis, and the battery to chassis. Its just what i had around the house, so any wire can work. 8 gauge is about what is on there now, so if you wanna upgrade, use 4 gauge. And it doesnt make a huge difference.

nope, but i wouldnt go any bigger than that. Just for one reason, once you get 2 gauge or zero gauge, its hard to get connectors on and stuff, not good for a battery connection.

A friend told me to match the ground wire gauge with the thickest gauge power wire you use. Since I use 2AWG to power my amp, my ground wire is also 2AWG. Connectors aren't really a problem, but I did have to ghetto-mod my positive battery terminal cover.
