intake is just a noise maker for our cars.

i had a injen cai for my auto lx and it was loud.

injen cai since u have an auto. Aem dont make them for autos.

SRI are looooud. haha my generic intake is like that of course so i put the cheap *** cone filter on my stock rubber hose and its quieter but you can still get that ricy sound.

hmm instead of Party boy it should be riceman. "ya Id like an intake, you know something loud and ricy for my Corolla 81 hatchback, automatic" ahahaha

Just get a AEM SRI not worth spending the extra 100 for a CAI. The horsepower differnce is probably only 1 hp. And SRI sounds much louder too.

ummm...sorry vic...the injen cai sounds a lot deeper and louder than the aem sri...lol...me and peter (bluelight) listened to the difference and concluded mine was a lot deeper...also i would personally go wit the injen cai...cuz iono if its just my imagination...but i feel more power from my cai...then now (when i took off the extension and made it into an sri...did it cuz i hydrolocked my civic and right now im on my 2nd engine..and i dont wanna risk it again)

my friend just screwed his engine up with a injen cai. didn't hyrdo lock but we think it could have screwed up some rod bearings. he has a teg ls. makes a terrible rattling noise. i just converted my cai to sri. don't won't to risk it anymore. i haven't noticed much difference except for a little more torque in the low end. come to think of it i kind of like this way more.

hey orso...when u converted ur injen cai to an sri make sure the filter doesnt rub against that thick black hose...cuz accordin to my mechanic...as time goes by..because of the vibration the filter will slow shave the hose..and if it bust a hole in it...u may be in trouble

I think the only way searching would work is if people stopped answering the question. This question has been beaten to death!

get either Injen CAI or K&N FIPKII SRI.

oh btw, try not to double post. i see that this same topic is in the tech section. if you want your thread to be moved, just PM a mod and they'll do it for you.

If you're driving mostly in the lower rpms ( around 3k) I would not get one. I had an AEM Short ram in my auto and I finally removed it because it took away too much low end power. Just get a K&N drop in OEM filter and leave it at that.

GreenNVicious can only hope to improve
I got a SRI just for the look and sound, not for a HP difference
