Magnaflow's dyno chart is crap. Here's why

I stole this from the eBay Magnaflow exhaust auction, but I heard it's the same on as on their site.

1. If you look at the red line (Magnaflow torque), you will see that it peaks at about 5600 rpm.

2. If you read the description to the right, it says it's at 5200rpm.

3. Our cars peak torque stock is at 4800 rpm, but on their chart, the peak is shifted nearly 1000rpm higher.

What do you think? I think they can't even lie right.

You have to remember that the increased airflow shifts the power to the upper rpms....

Oh, and I'd say you get more like 1-3hp from that exhaust on an ex...

Which really makes it a waste of money. That's a BAD horsepower per dollar ratio.

Are they talking at the crank or at the wheels? Most likely you will those numbers at the crank. Everycar is made the same and that does not insure that it will perform the same. Why does everyone have to look for the bad instead of the good. I guess I can tell how you were thinking when you posted this.

Ha, Excel...

Looks like a bunch of crap to me. There's no way they're pulling another 9 HP out of my LX auto. Maybe if it was a EX Manual, but doubtful. How much does it cost for a Dyno?
