I looked and looked for a USB input that would fit where the factory AUX port was located in my '09 Civic sedan. I couldn't find anything (someone will probably provide a link now that I've gone to the trouble of doing this haha!).
So today, I managed to get the aux port out and using my dremel, cut a square hole to insert a USB flush-mount input where the aux port used to be, since my new head unit doesn't have an aux input. It turned out a hair crooked, but you can't tell unless you get down on its level to look at it lol. I lost the hinge that covered it because the new "plate" was in the way, but I like the result. Much better than when I had the USB/CarPlay cord just hanging to plug into.
