Hello, I’m looking for some help getting my rims to fit on my 8th Gen Civic sedan. Yes I’ve read gunner’s sticky on wheel specs. I am new to this platform but not wheels and tires.
I have 4 Enkei wheels I brought over from my previous G35, 5x114.3, 18 x 8 J ET 40. I tried them on with my 225/45/18 tires, and got a little rub on all 4 shocks(Too high offset?, although not according to gunners sticky), and some rub on the tire from the fender lips, mostly in the back when cornering aggressively.
I’m thinking I’ll need 4x 1/2” spacers or so to pull them off the shocks, and a little stretch in my tires. What size should I get? I see a lot of members running 225/40/18. So would I be looking for a 215/40/18? Or something else? What do you think.
sorry If I’m missing any info, tried to give all I had, this is my first tire thread, and civic thread. Wheel/tire: Tire specs: Wheel specs:
