Hi, I am new to this Forum and the Honda manufactured vehicles. I purchased a 2010 Civic Coupe with a 1.8L (120K kms). Was told at time of purchase that it had a misfire. Codes came up for each of the four cylinders and the one for multiple misfire. Sparks plugs have been changed. Checked Coils and all look to be good and sending spark. EGR valve looks to be clean and did not send a code. The misfire shows up when you are stopped at a light, increase the RPM and it goes away. Also, misfire occurs when you reach 80 kmh (50 mph), goes away when you increase speed or lower speed. No problem durimg imcreased acceleration. Any ideas???

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Correct plugs? Brand/type? Correct gap? Correct torque?
Any other codes present?
Compression test?
Valve adjustment?
Got a scanner that can display live data?
What are fuel trims at hot idle, and 2500 RPM?
What are fuel trims at idle when it runs rough?
What are trims at highway speed?
Have you tried blocking off the EGR to see if it improves idle?
Pull out the air filter, see if it's a cheap aftermarket, check if dirty, and see if the MAF sensor has anything caught in it
