numbers on the ecu

My ecu has the part number of 37820-PLR-A53
There is numbers under the part number . My question is do those numbers matter when im trying to replace my ecu. Thanks in advance !!!

I don't think so as long as it's from the same version of car as yours. I have an 02 EX and found different part numbers for 01, 02, and 03 replacement computers. The 04, 05 cars use a different O2 sensor or something so therefore their computer is different. The first part will probably be the same number, the last 3 digits may differ.

Def do some research and see if you can find any odd things like that for yours. But as long as it's the same year +/- , same engine type, and same tranny, then it should be okay.

I'd recommend making sure wherever you buy it from has some sort of return policy or warranty just in case Honda says it's not the right computer.

wonder if there's changes for sedan/coupe too, since some wiring is different, plus the engine differences Si vs others
