2006 4Dr ex 115000 miles.
It is very peculiar to me...
So, first I'll describe the sound, then I will describe the sound, then the conditions that cause it...
It, to me, almost sounds like two washers or metal to metal rubbing.
It only does under light load, such as cruising speed and light acceleration. Heavy acceleration and high rpms do not make any sort of noise... Nor does neutral in any range of throttle...
Only during light load.
Also, it is more pronounced the first start of the day, sucdesive starts see the car run with less of that noise... IDK if it's from the car warming up. Or if a/c being on, but that also seems to play a role in it...
Engine performance is not affected, handling is not affected...
Any ideas?
