If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: drl

There isn't any standalone control unit for them. The DRL control is built into the multiplex system.

Why would you ask this? Got a problem with the DRLs?

So does that mean your DRLs DO work, and the high beams DO work?

Most I have encountered with the DRL warning light on have been either a problem with one or both high-beam bulbs/sockets/wiring, or I've seen it on when the high beams have been converted to HID or LED without using the correct adapters.

So if both your high beams DO work correctly and the DRLs work correctly, then I'd say
to begin, check all fuses in both fuse boxes,
Then check for any powertrain fault codes, F-CAN and communication loss codes.
Then I'd scan it for any fault codes in the body systems.

(Google-fu feels strong!)
HOLY COW I think I stumbled upon a gold mine of troubleshooting info:
Warning: This looks like a HUGE list of pages, MICU manual troubleshooting and code info starts around the 4th page
