Re: 07 Si won't start please help!!!

Put the CORRECT PCM (ECU) back in it.

As long as that green key is flashing (immobilizer is in theft mode) you will never get it to run. (unless it's been modified and is supposed to flash like that)

Install the ECM that the key is married with.
(Key has an RFID chip that must match what the ECM is looking for.)

Where did your replacement ECM come from anyway?
Why did you replace it?

Once you get a matching set that stops that key symbol from flashing, you can concentrate on getting the car to run.

Get a bus pass?
Pray?
Walk away calmly, act like you were never there?
Cry?
Tow it to the dealer?
Push it off a cliff?
Tell your brother what happened?

Walk.....
LOL

Just put the ECM back in and see what happens.

Re: 07 Si won't start please help!!!

Car has beeen sitting for a few months under cover because my brother was putting in a junk2 intake and u had to unplug ecu so rpm could be right and ****, somehow it messed up car, had no power and all these engine codes came up, took it to a shop he ran a machine on car and fixed the ecu,i drove the car and stalled in first gear and car won't start, its doing the same thing but i got to put ecu back in i don't think it did the key thing. The guy couldn't fix car and said it was ecu, so i bought one from a guy that was parting out his 07 SI

Re: 07 Si won't start please help!!!

Don't get all upset just because I don't already know what you didn't tell anyone here about the car.

Your thread went from sounding like you borrowed the car for a day, to now what sounds like this thing has been all apart sitting under a tarp for the last 6 months or something.
Hell, I ain't psychic. I thought this would be a completely stock car.

so i bought one from a guy that was parting out his 07 SI
You stuck in a stock ECM:
Any used, stock ECM is going to be looking for the key that it was married to before it will let you start the car.
The ECM disables fuel when it does not see the correct chip key data.

The guy couldn't fix car and said it was ecu,
These ECMs have been damn reliable. I wonder if your guy couldn't figure out the real problem and blamed the computer just so it would go away.

only way is to push the car and pop the clutch
Did the car have a modified ECM or aftermarket ECM to go with the engine mods?

Anyways it won't crank even with the original ecu,
You have a different problem.
Even if it is in theft mode, the starter should still be able to engage.

From the service info:
If you try to start the engine without a
programmed ignition key, the engine cranks and may
start for a moment, then stall. It may only crank and not
start if the key was turned slowly, and the immobilizer
light flashes until the ignition switch is turned off.

I'm still not clear on whether or not you got the key symbol to stop flashing when the original ECM was reinstalled.

If you could push start and get it to run while that green key light is flashing, then something must not be stock.

What codes does it have stored right now?
Can you access any systems other than the engine computer?

Starter:

There should be a single wire connector stuck to the bracket on the battery tray where a red wire connects to a black/white wire. This is the wire that engages the starter solenoid. I would check there and probably begin my first electrical starter test there.

Will he took it to Honda day in September been fine ever since end of Nov. when i stalled in first, been like this ever since then. He has another car that he Daily Drives so he didn't really look into this problem yet. I thought maybe all the bumps i went on made the ecu finally fail since its slammed.

Sweet looking lineup!

Hard to hear your video on this laptop...... Is the starter motor spinning when you hit the key, but not engaging the engine?
(I think i hear it whir like an electric motor freewheeling, but no engine cranking. If I'm hearing that right, it needs a starter.)

Again, those ECMs are damn reliable. Don't fear having the car slammed.

I see in the video now the green key symbol now stays off, so you must have the correct key+ECM set. It should run if all else is right.
Now you gotta get it to crank.

It can't be all 3.
Pick the starter for the no-crank.

You said this thing runs if you push start it, so I seriously doubt wiring or ECM.
Unless I missed something?

There's a huge difference between cranking and running.

The starter has to crank it first.
The ECM controls the fuel injection and spark to get it running.

Whatever he wants, as long as it's less than a new one?

Look on parts store websites for a starter price...
For comparison, a reman starter from Honda will be around $300 list.
Or 210 plus shipping from Majestic http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/srchrslts.jsp?search=sku&catcgry1=&inputstate=&src hwords=31200-RRA-A51RM&vinnosrch=Enter+VIN+Number+---
