Check engine and IMA displays come on
Check engine and IMA displays come on
I live in south Texas and we had our first freeze last night. While driving to work, my check engine and IMA indicator lights came on in my 2009 Civic Hybrid (65K miles). I wonder if it had anything to do with the weather and if anyone can give any insight as to what this might mean?

Go to your dealer, go directly to your dealer.
There are a ton of things on a hybrid that average independent shops won't know about and simply can't help you with.
There are many items that have extended warranty coverage too.
Bulletin 09-039 addresses IMA warning light on in cold weather (which may or may not be your particular problem). The bulletin states there are software updates for several vehicle systems as the 'fix'.
This was a 'product update' at one time, and may or may not have expired.
