AC issue

I recently (February) bought my girlfriend a 2009 Civic EX four door. This week the AC blower fan started acting up and it won't work in the afternoon until the car cools off with the windows down some (which isn't much in Florida) then it works fine. After searching the forums I ran the diagnostic and got HVAC DTC #6. Any advice on what it might be or the first thing to check? Living in Florida so AC is pretty much a requirement lol. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: AC issue

HVAC code 6 simply tells there is a problem detected in the blower motor circuit. I'll skip the book troubleshooting and check the most likely problem first.
