CTR? Civic Type R? If it's stock, then it doesn't have centering rings. The RSX sway bars, the Type R ones, the stock EX, LX, DX, and HX ones. All rely on the endlink for centering of the sway bar.
You can get some for cheap from me though. I will sell endlink kits with those centering rings included for sway bars without them. I will have different sizes available as well. I'll have to come up with all of the pricing. Ugh! Nightmare. There will be a ton of options for you guys though, so that should be a good thing.

FYI, the progress rear sway now comes with washers welded to the bar to keep the bar from shifting.
I got my rear progress sway bar installed!! Ya-Hoo! That progress bar is one heavy mother compared to the paperclip OEM that I took off
I had no problem unfastening the endlinks for the install. The end of the bolt (tip) of the endlink accepts a 5 mm allen wrench to hold it from twisting as the nut is turned off.
Here is my question for anyone on the topic of the sway bar. It knocks against my muffler,
is there anyone who has resolved this issue? can the muffler be 'pulled' out 1/2" toward the rear? Thanks.

I tried pulling on the muffler by simply pulling on the muffler and I moved things out 1/4" towards the back. I still get a weird noise coming from the back though. A groan of sorts.
Small update: I installed the latest design and I like it. It works. No new parts. Using all of the parts I had. It's pretty much proven 'cause it's the same thing I had for that 1000 mile trip to Baltimore, MD. Just some more washers to space things out a little.
I'm confident in this design and I'll get to work on the instructions. I'll ship out the kits that people pre-ordered ASAP.

I like the newest design, but I'm still not 100% happy with it. I found some new parts that I'de like to use. They're sturdier than the high collar washers that I'm using and they will stiffen things up greatly. Especially in the one area that I'm worried about. I think that this will be the last design update. The price will be raised a little bit though 'cause these materials cost a lot more. The end result will be very much worth it though. To all of you guys that pre-ordered... You just saved $15.
Anyway, wish me luck!
I hope that these parts do the trick. I was hesitant to buy them because of the increased cost, but if they work perfectly, then it's worth it.

Oh, they are for the rear. It's the same design whether it's for the front or the rear... The instructions will tell you how to install them and what to change for different suspension setups. Everything will be included in the kit.

Are the newer parts on order or did you get them already? When do you expect to have the prototype installed? Just curious...
Thanks brother...

I got the new parts already, but it looks like they won't work.
I need to look around some more for a nice cheap alternative to the high collar split-lock washers that are betwean the endlink and the mounting points. There's too much flex there (I think?) and I can hear this extra noise when going over bumps.
Although... It's tough to tell. When I check the torque on the bolt everything is top notch. I guess it's possible for the assembly to flex without the torque changing though. Otherwise I shouldn't hear that noise.
Then again... It might be due to something else in the design. I doubt it though. I need a part to fit a 3/8" bolt that's like a thick washer (about 1/4" thick or more), but is tapred on one side to look like a cone with the taper being long enough to allow the full motion of the endlink. Sort of like the Hotchkis design, but with space for the o-rings (which will reduce noise).
It's so frustrating! I have something that I want to sell to you guys. It works, but it doesn't work exactly the way I want it to. I'm basically just worried that you guys will hear what I hear and say, "Damn Grey, these things suck!". That's why I'm taking so long in designing them. I want to sell you guys something that you'll be 100% happy with.
As it stands now my development costs have reached so high that I need to sell 10 endlink kits to break even.
I have so many extra things lying around that I've bought that it's not funny.
I'll get the design down pat sooner or later though.

I agree with you though, noise can be annoying, so learn what you can from the Hotchkis design. I wish I could offer a recommendation, but I don't know why they would make noise. Seems like my OEM sway bar makes noise too, every morning I hear this major 'click' 'click' when backing out of my driveway.OK, good luck with the design...

Not much. None at all during cornering and driving on the highway. Just some while transitioning from a higher surface to a lower surface really fast. Like pulling out of a garage where it transitions really quickly. Some bumps, but not all bumps. It's weird. It's definately the best design yet though 'cause it's the quietest. I'm close. I just found another site with a ton of hardware. I'm sure I'll find what I need soon.

that click click is ur front brakes clicking, because when ur brakes are cold you can hear the brake caipers click. when you go from reverse to drive the calipers pull up and when you press on the brake slighty hard theycome down and click. click in a nutshell

What about the coilover "boing" noise? while we're disecting noisese... now that it's been getting colder at night, I've been getting the spring unbinding noise when I start up and slightly more often than when it was hot, I figured it was just something to do with the weather... Someone mentioned putting rubber sheeting under the springs to avoid that noise, or maybe just some more grease would help, it's not quite annoying, but after the car sat for a few days and I started driving off for the first time it almost lurched from it's spring position and went "BOING" from all 4 tires instead of the normal "turning boing" of the springs unbinding when I just start up in the mornings... Any thoughts?
And my stock brake pads are squealing now when I start up, I figured normal, but how exactly do you tell if you should replace them? just looking at them kinda like tread on a tire? they're all stock internals, it's a 2002 SI, only had it for 9 months now, shouldn't have brake pad issues, but better to be safe.
