Wire meltdown

I was driving the other day and smoke came from the dashboard on drivers side. The horn/stop fuse #7 under hood was blown. I just bought the car and it was a 30 amp fuse in a 15 amp slot. Wires from my brake light switch were melted together and it extends to a bundle where at least 4 wires look melted as well. How hard is it to remove the dashboard and trace the damage? The car runs great still and the only things that aren't functional are the break lights, horn cruise control and I lost sound to my speakers
