Double din Radio with Back up camera 2012 Civic LX

Hi All,

I have a 2012 Civic LX and want to install a Double Din with rearview camera.

My only question is, If i do that, Will the little screen up top still work and the
steering wheel controls, Bluetooth Streaming ECT?

That's what my car looks like right now.

I doubt it but I am only saying that because much of the operating system for the IMID is contained within the stock radio.
IDK if the stereo people have come up with a way around that issue.

I have a 12 LX Civic.
I installed a backup camera and connected it to my IMID screen, it works the same as the 2013 and newer Civics.
Cost me all of about $20 total, plus some time.

Thank you for that idea! i've looked into it before but couldnt really find anything on it.

Do you have a guide that you followed? as in where to splice the wires together?

Check this thread (from another forum).

Note, I've had to upgrade the wiring in the area of the trunklid hinge, as the cable that came with my camera eventually broke the wires inside from flexing.
