Amp's power protection kicks in when connected to sub
Amp's power protection kicks in when connected to sub
my amp is a denon dca-800 i found on that the L/R sub channels are 100W each
and my sub is a 225W MTX 10" . 4 Ohm so i wired the sub in bridged mode to the amp so i get 200W to the sub on 4ohm how ever the amp shuts off any ideas? it works fine on 100W but not in bridged.. could the amp or sub be ****ed up?

How are you wired to the speaker. If it a 4 ohm and not adjustable then you should have only 1 set of Pos and Neg plugs. If it is a Duel voice coil then it will have 2 sets.
Make sure you are hooking the speaker up right after you bridge the amp. If you dont then it will sent a 2 ohm signal back to the amp and kill the amp to save the speaker.

dont bridge a 100/200 watt amp. if you ant more power upgrade your system a tad bit. either way, your amp and subs at 100watt seem to both be 4ohm and 4ohm stable. if your am is 2ohm stable as well maybe buy another sub of the same type and wire them in parallel.

I had that problem b4 I had to upgrade the amp and also how are you bridging the the two subs to the amp (make sure you dont bridge the subs to one channel). This will cause the amp to overheat and cut off.
