205/55R16 on 2000 Honda Civic EX?

Alright so I couldn't really find an answer on other threads but I've recently upgraded my front and rear suspension and decided to get bigger rims (16x7. Offset +40) Now my car is sitting on adjustable coilovers and has a two finger gap between the tires (185/65R14) and the fender. I also stiffened the springs and got new larger bushings for the swaybar. So anyways I'm wondering if some 205/55R16 tires are gonna fit and not rub too badly if I raise the car a little more, stiffen the suspension and maybe roll the fenders? And I know most people go with 205/45s and 205/40s but I tires I found and like only come in 205/55s.

What kinda tires are you looking at? 205/50 and 205/45 tires aren't uncommon.

They're beefy as hell but they'll probably be fine, assuming you're talking about the 205/55.

205/65 is too big, plain and simple.

205/50R16's are the best tires for 6th gens, in my opinion.

205/45R16 are rare and expensive. my miata have them.
205/55R16 are one of the most common sizes.
Find someone that have them, slap them on and do a quick easy run around the block (they are not going to like if you rub/cut them on the fenders)

205/50R16 are less common, but more than 205/45. These are likely to fit. Not sure about tire offerings.
