235/45/17?

okay, well I'm getting some 4 lug 17" rims ... +42 offset

last year, I had 16x7.5" +42 offset ssr comps ... with 225/50/16 goodyear f1 gsd3 tires and they barely fit in the back (maybe 1 finger gap), but they never really rubbed (only the fenders on dips)

this year, I'm thinking about getting some 17x7.5" ssr's ... also +42 offset.

However, I'm torn between tires ... I'm thinking of either 225/45/17 tires or 235/45/17 tires. I'd prefer the 235's .. they're michelin pilot sport 2's

according to tirerack, my goodyears had a 9.1" section width ... the 235 tires I want have a 9.3 section width... they will fit on a 7.5" rim.

anyone think I'm gonna have rubbing issues with the 235's in the rear?

I'm on b&g's and i was down ~2.5 and was running the rims i have now, 17x7 215/45/17 with a +42 offset. I had to run quite a bit of negative camber to get them not to rub. I raised the rear to ~2" drop now and got the camber slightly negative which you can see in the pic running a new 205/40/17s cause the camber issues. Id say at you may get away with 225 on +42 offset and on a 7.5 width with a mild drop, but 235 is a far stretch. You may also have to roll the rear fender lips - which i didnt try. Hope that info helps you a bit.
