Civic 2005 grinding noise

grinding noise coming from front wheels, comes and goes. as soon as i step on brakes, it stops. Any ideas? Thanks!

It could need new pads, or it could be as simple as the metal shield is hitting the rotor, you can pry it back a little if thats the issue.
